Selecting a plastic surgery

Choosing a plastic surgeon for breast enlargement surgery is an important decision. Consider the following factors: experience, qualifications, bedside manner, and bedside manner. Referring to patients who have already had surgery is a good way to determine if the surgeon is right for you.

Patient reviews and before and after pictures are a good starting point. You should look for surgeons who have a history of providing high-quality results. Preparing to have surgery

You must be healthy while preparing for breast-enhancement surgery. People who are sick should be avoided. If you must work, take the time to rest before the procedure. Also, if you have small children, make sure to find someone to care for them while you are away. Also, it is best to avoid strenuous exercise during the first two weeks. You will feel tender breasts after surgery. Exercising too often can cause pain.

It is a good idea before you go to surgery to make sure that you are eating a healthy diet. It is important to buy foods you can prepare easily. Foods that are durable and simple to prepare may be a better choice. All medications should be brought. For check-in, it is a good idea to arrive at the surgery at least two hours in advance. Be comfortable and allow your arms to move freely. A button-front shirt is a great idea.

Complications

Only a small number of breast-enhancement patients experience postoperative infections. This is usually accompanied with redness, swelling and pain. The surgeon should be consulted about their options. If the infection persists, antibiotics can be used to clear it. However, if the infection continues, the surgeon may recommend a surgical procedure to remove the infected tissue. The surgeon may need to remove the implant and the tissue expander in severe cases.

Of the total 450 procedures after initial implantation, 91 of them were staged planned procedures while 164 were done for clinical reasons. 321 women were able to report one or more complications. Of these, 178 women had at least one complication, and a total of 274 breasts had at least one implant. Women who had breast cancer surgery prophylactically or after a mastectomy experienced a significantly lower rate of complications.

Recovery

Recovery after breast enlargement surgery is an important phase. The procedure is not considered life-threatening but can be painful. The pain, swelling, and bruising that occurs after the surgery will recede. To speed up healing, the body will release anti-inflammatory substances. Patients are advised to avoid strenuous activity during healing, such as lifting heavy objects. After a couple of weeks, most patients can return to their normal routine.

Patients will be prescribed pain medication. They can also use over-the-counter pain relief to reduce the discomfort. For two to five weeks, the patient should refrain from high-impact activities.
